Fees
A medical referral is not required for physiotherapy. You can request reimbursement from your extended medical plan with a receipt I will provide. Sometimes your plan prefers a medical referral.
The fees for physical therapy depend on the time we schedule and the location (office, pool or your home). The first session is a full assessment at my office or at your home. This will take about 45 minutes. The follow up sessions will take 30 minutes or 60 minutes.
Physiotherapy Services (Office or Your Home):
- $82.50 for initial assessment
- $55 for 30 minutes
- $110 for 60 minutes
Aqua Physiotherapy (Pool):
- $80 for 25 minutes (CBW members $55)
- $135 for 55 minutes (CBW members $110)
CBW Pool Membership
The Centennial Building Wellness Centre offers special membership rates for Focus on Health Physiotherapy clients. A membership is $135/month.
A membership gives you daily access to the pool and includes classes (Woga and Ai Chi). It also gives you an opportunity to do the exercises provided in your physiotherapy sessions more than once or twice a week.

MSP Coverage for Physiotherapy
For people with a lower income, BC Medical Services Plan (MSP) pays a portion of the fee for therapy. A combined limit of 10 visits for physiotherapy, chiropractic, naturopath, massage therapy and non-surgical podiatry services in a calendar year is covered by MSP. There is an additional user fee charged on top of the amount MSP pays.
Worksafe BC / ICBC for Physiotherapy
If you have a claim through Work Safe BC or ICBC, please contact your adjuster or lawyer to see if they will cover your physical therapy.
My Cancelation Policy
No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment time will be charged 50% of your scheduled appointment fee. If you are unable to make your appointment, please let me know as soon as possible so that someone else may have a chance to take your place. Thank you for your understanding.
